About the game:

Spellcaster is a fast-paced arena roguelite where you step into the robes of a young wizard and venture into corrupted lands to cleanse them of the Abyss's forces

To stand against the powers of evil, you'll need to master the art of spellcrafting

But here, nothing comes for free. Each spell you draw costs you precious seconds and a sliver of your humanity

Learn a wide range of spells by gaining levels as you slay spawns of the Abyss

Heed the chant of the Mysterious Angel Statue to receive a blessing from above

Reach the Forest Master and fight him and his minions in an epic showdown

Note from the developer:

I have some plans for this project, of course only if you really like it )

  • Add buffs/debuffs to the shape drawing process — the closer the drawn shape matches the stencil, the higher the chance of getting a buff, and vice versa...
  • Add a system for combining simple shapes (the ones that currently exist) to create more complex (and powerful) spells
  • Create a unified concept — the bullet hell style is good, but I think this game could turn into either a level-based dungeon crawler or something story-driven

Control Guide:

  • [W, A, S, D] - movement
  • [LKM] - draw figures by circles
  • [MMB] - choose a stencil
  • [Space] - cast the spell
  • [C] - cancel the current figure / stencil
  • [Esc] - Pause game / Skip animations
